At the Council meeting on May 5th, Council received a petition requesting a ban on fishing from the Crowe’s Landing Wharf and the McCracken’s Landing Wharf. Council knows that these facilities are integral to the community and to life on Stoney and Clear Lake. This is not a decision that Council takes lightly and they have asked that a Committee be formed to investigate the issue and bring back a recommendation to the June 16th, 2020 Council meeting.

To be able to prepare a recommendation, the Committee has created a survey to solicit comments on the use of the wharfs. Please find the survey at this link, it can also be accessed from the Township website

Please complete the survey and forward it to your friends, neighbours and associates. The survey will remain active until May 30th, 2020. We look forward to receiving your comments. If you would like to submit a written comment on the issue of fishing and use of Crowe’s Landing Wharf and the McCracken’s Landing Wharf to the Committee for consideration, please email them to the attention of Temporary C.A.O., Martina Chait-Hartwig

Thank you for your time and consideration on this issue.
