2010 Budget

The 2010 Budget will include the impacts of a province-wide reassessment. This reassessment updated values from a base date of January 1, 2005 to January 1, 2008. This was a period of strong growth in the real estate market and property values did increase. As a result in 2009 the provincial government mandated a four year phase in for all assessment increases, thereby mitigating the impact of the increases.
