J. Murray Jones was born and raised in Scarborough, Ontario, but has been a resident of Douro-Dummer for the past 35 years. He's the owner and publisher of The Dummer News, a monthly community newspaper. In his spare time, J. enjoys spending time at his cottage on Oak Lake, listening to "old time" radio shows and driving his two vintage Morris Minor motor cars.
Mayor Jones has been serving on Council for five terms. He's also a member of Peterborough County Council where he sits as Warden and Chair of the Land Division Committee. Mayor Jones is also the Chair of Township Committee of Adjustment.

Karl Moher has had a lifelong association with the community, having been raised in the Douro ward of the Township. Karl and his wife Leona live on the Second Line of Douro, have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. Karl enjoys working with various kinds of trees on his farm and enjoys travelling with his wife.
This is Deputy Mayor Moher's fifth term serving on Council. He serves on the Committee of Adjustment and is a member of County Council.

Douro and Dummer, Councillor at Large
Tom Watt has been a resident of the Township, living in the Hamlet of Warsaw, since 1968. Tom and his wife Karen have 4 children and one grandchild. Tom is a hockey fanatic and enjoys working on computers. He's also been a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 511 for 30 years.
This is Councillor Watt's second term serving on Council. He serves on the Fall Fair Board and Committee of Adjustment.

Douro Ward Representative
Ray Johnston has lived in the Township for over 30 years. He's owned and operated his own heating and air conditioning business in Douro-Dummer for 32 years. Ray and his wife Rhonda have 3 children, 2 sons and one daughter. Ray is a sports enthusiast who spends time coaching and sponsoring hockey, lacrosse and baseball teams. He's also involved with the Optimist Club and The Knights of Columbus.
This is Councillor Johnston's eighth term serving on Council. He serves on the Donwood Community Centre Board, Police Services Board and Committee of Adjustment.

Dummer Ward Representative
Shelagh Landsmann has been a permanent resident of the Township of Douro-Dummer since 1989. She is a fourth generation cottager on Stoney Lake. Shelagh and her husband Walter have been married for 34 years and have one daughter. Shelagh enjoys spending time at her home on Stoney Lake where she is able to go boating, canoeing and kayaking. Shelagh owns and operates Bulletins Plus, a company specializing in newsletters for a number of groups and organizations. She also publishes The Laker's Link, a monthly magazine providing news and information to area residents and cottagers.
Councillor Landsmann is serving her fourth term on Douro-Dummer Council. She also serves on the Library Board, Historical Committee and Committee of Adjustment.
